Sunflowers

Our Story

Collective Relief started as a love story to a land that has touched each one of us.

Our founding team members met each other while living in Ukraine as missionaries for their church well over a decade ago. Over the years we’ve all stayed close, watching our lives change and families grow, but always connected by that land of sunflowers and sky.

When Ukraine was invaded on February 24th, 2022, we all watched, shocked and horrified by what we saw. Places we knew were being destroyed, and worse, people we loved were suffering because of it. Our friends and family were now living in a war zone.

Almost immediately the fundraising began. The amounts coming in overwhelmed us. It was clear that we had an opportunity to use our passion and connections to make a difference, and the best way forward was to create this organization. Collective Relief gives us the ability to use the funds we’ve raised to directly support the most urgent needs of those fleeing the violence of the Russian invasion.

As time goes on, our mission will grow. Sadly, we know that this is not the only humanitarian crisis we will face, and we plan to be there helping wherever we can, bringing our resources and our passion.

Thank you for supporting us, our cause, and most importantly, the people of Ukraine. We can do great things when we work together, and we will do great things to help those in need.
